Terry Lee McGruder of Fresno. A judge has issued an arrest warrant for felony charges of being a felon in possession of a gun, vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.
Around 2:30 am, a Fresno County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle near Ashlan and Fresno for a traffic violation. The driver, Terry McGruder, refused to pull over. The deputy pursued him to the area of Ashlan and Blackstone. McGruder entered a fast food restaurant parking lot, then got stuck in the drive-thru lane. McGruder got out and ran while holding a handgun. He hopped a fence and tried hiding in a motel complex, but the deputy and his partners were able to find McGruder and take him into custody. Deputies searched the area for the gun and found it on the roof of the motel.
He was later booked into the Fresno County Jail. He stayed in jail on a probation violation, but was released after time passed to file charges for his other offenses.
McGruder is black, 28 years old, 5’8”, 220 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos on both arms. He may have a mustache and goatee.
