Jose Alfredo Carrillo of Caruthers.  A judge has issued an arrest warrant for kidnapping and battery.

On May 2, 2016, Jose Carrillo drove to a store with his girlfriend and her two children in the car.  At the store, Carrillo introduced his girlfriend to his cousin.  During their conversation, Carrillo’s cousin called him “stupid,” to which his girlfriend agreed.  On the drive home, Carrillo became angry and hit her across the face, saying she disrespected him in front of his family.  The girlfriend tried to get out of the car, but Carrillo grabbed her hair and yanked her back into the vehicle.  He then drove her to Selma against her will and threatened to shoot her if she ever left him.  The woman played it cool in order to get back to her home safely.  Once she did, she told her family about how Carrillo acted.  They confronted him and told him they were calling the Sheriff’s Office, so Carrillo took off.

Deputies searched for Carrillo at his home, but were unable to find him.

Carrillo is a gang member who is known to regularly smoke methamphetamine and drink alcohol.

Carrillo is 28 years old.  He is 5’9”, 205 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair.  He has a mustache.  He has a tattoo of a dog paw next to his right eye and the word “Bulldogs” above his right eyebrow.
